Meet the doctor   Rachel N. Freedland, DPM Dr. Freedland has been practicing Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Southern California for 23 years.  She graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1981, and received her post graduate training at the Alexander Blaine Memorial Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.  She continues to attend numerous continuing medical education seminars to stay informed on the newest techniques and developments in the area of foot and ankle medicine. Dr. Freedland is certified in Podiatric Orthopedics by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, for proficiency in treating biomechanical abnormalities as well as injuries of the foot and ankle.  She has also specialized in Sports Medicine as it affects the foot and ankle. The Laser Foot Clinic, was the very first office in Southern California to utilize Laser Surgery for foot problems as early as 1983.  Dr. Freedland is Certified in Laser Surgery and has extensive training and experience in this area. Being a runner herself gives Dr. Freedland a personal as well as professional understanding of the needs of her patients that are active.  Having raised a family of her own, Dr. Freedland is proficient in working with people of all ages, from children to geriatrics.  She values all of her patients as partners, starting from choice of treatment to actual involvement in accomplishing a good resolution.
